UFC lightweight Michael Chandler takes EMF radiation seriously. Although science and medicine have yet to document all possible effects of EMFs, Chandler takes steps to protect himself. As a part of his training, he uses nanotechnology developed by Aires Tech to improve brain and heart function while mitigating adverse effects of EMFs. Chandler trains constantly to perform at his peak inside the cage. Muscle and Fitness documented his eight-week training camp methods used by the fighter to get into shape for a competition. He uses a six-day workout regime that includes twice-per-day workouts five days per week, then a single workout on Saturdays. He devotes Sundays to recovery techniques.

Recovery Techniques Chandler Uses

The fighter makes foam rolling, sports massage, a weekly chiropractor visit, and a coherent converter worn at all times as part of his eight-week camp. According to Total Pro Sports, following injuries sustained in his UFC 309 bout on November 16, 2024, Chandler turned to new options for recovery, including:

  • Hyperbaric chambers
  • Red light treatments
  • Cold plunges.

Chandler said he sustained the worst injuries ever during that fight, experiencing blood-containing urination after it and persistent pitting edema. According to the Mayo Clinic, pitting edema occurs when swollen skin holds a dimple after being pressed by a finger or object.

Nutrition Matters Everyday

Year-round, he focuses on nutrition with an eating regime that consists of lean meats, vegetables, and healthy fats. Chandler implements supplements in his nutritional plan, using:

  • Amino acids (enhanced muscle recovery)
  • Protein powder (enhanced muscle recovery)
  • Ginger powder (reduced inflammation)
  • Turmeric powder (reduced inflammation)
  • Multivitamins (general wellness).

A stricter diet during camp helps shed any excess weight picked up between fights.

Integrating Healthier Choices into Your Lifestyle

While the typical person might not lift weights six days per week or adhere to a strict diet with supplements, they do need to protect themselves from EMF radiation. Use the scientifically developed method of protecting yourself, known as Time, Distance, and Shielding (TDS).
