Singer Pink is renowned for her athletic figure, but she recently noted that she struggled to get back in shape after having her first child last year. Speaking to Cosmopolitan magazine, the 32-year-old revealed she reached for her yoga wear to help her fight the flab.
As well as getting stuck into these exercises, she also changed her diet, cutting out animal products almost entirely. She has managed to shed an impressive 55 pounds thanks to her lifestyle changes. She recently cooked up a veggie feast of tortellini with fava beans, summer truffles, dinosaur kale and red pearl onions for her husband Carey Hart to celebrate his 37th birthday.
Meanwhile, talking about her exercise programme, she stated that when she dons her yoga trousers she usually completes one hour of cardio work followed by another hour of strength training. Of course, not all yoga participants favour such long sessions.
These days, there is plenty of choice for consumers in terms of the classes they go to.
Pink revealed she was surprised by how much weight she gained during pregnancy. She said: “’I thought I’d feel like a goddess. They sell you on that… like you’ll never feel more feminine. Really, I just felt like a mess.”
She added: “I gained 55lbs. I think my baby may be part cheesecake”
The celebrity also noted that she’s ready to start recording again. About this, she said: “I’ve been in mommy mode, and I’m just starting to get back out there into the real world. I’ve been in the studio recording my new album, so now it feels like everything is falling back into place.”
