Companies operating in the UK are always on the lookout for great value printer ink, but the importance of sourcing low cost products may be especially great now. After all, trading conditions remain tough for enterprises and many are struggling to balance their books.
Indeed, research conducted by the Forum of Private Business (FPB) has drawn attention to the pressures facing firms. Its latest quarterly survey suggested that 95 per cent of organisations have seen an overall increase in their costs.
Of the firms it polled, 88 per cent said they’d experienced a rise in transport costs, while 85 per cent reported rises in energy bills. In addition, 82 per cent claimed they have had to bear increases in marketing costs and 73 per cent said the amount they have spent on raw materials and stock has climbed.
Meanwhile, one in three business owners admitted they could not pass rising costs onto their customers, meaning they have had to shoulder the burden.
The FPB’s Alex Jackman said: “The major reasons for increases in prices are predominantly down to VAT and energy prices rising, coupled with the weakness of sterling for importers. Unfortunately, it doesn’t look as if there is going to be any respite from energy hikes any time soon.”
Thankfully, there are ways in which managers can minimise their costs. For example, by sourcing great value printer cartridges, they can lower their spending. These days, it’s easy for firms to get their hands on items like this and many choose to do so via the web as this offers maximum choice and convenience.
