As you would expect, this year’s Emmy Awards ceremony was a flurry of glamorous dresses from the big designer names, along with a dazzling selection of accessories, glittering jewels and vertigo-inducing stilettos.
Gorgeous actress Lucy Liu, for example, was beautiful in a strapless, metallic, tailored Versace gown, while star Julianne Moore accepted an Emmy award in a stunning, canary yellow Christian Dior Haute Couture number. She said she chose it because it looked “original and fresh.”
Another leading lady, Nicole Kidman, who was at the star-studded ceremony with husband Keith Urban, a musician, was slightly less enthusiastic when describing her aqua blue Antonio Berardi dress. She said she opted for it because it was “comfortable”, and also explained that she “loves a bit of blue.”
There were some comments that the styles were a little more restrained this year. Olivia Munn, for example, was sporting a high neck navy print affair for the 64th yearly awards ceremony, and was looking decidedly demure. (However she had changed into a sheer, plunging black dress for one of the many after parties.) Accessories and hair all changed as well.
